Poetry

If ever there was a poetic fruit, pears are it. Possibly pomegranates, strawberries, peaches, grapes, and certainly mangoes. Well, there goes the plug for my poetic pear.

Crêpes

This recipe has been a very frequent request from my daughter ever since she had it with Aunt Lizzy.  Of course my sweet sister-in-law always makes delightful treats while we stay there and makes me look like a bad cook. :)  (At least in my nine-year-old's eyes)  Thanks Lizzy!

3 eggs
1/2 c. water
1/2 c. milk
1 c. flour
1/2 tsp salt
2 TB melted butter

Grease pan (cooking spray works fine) between every batch.  Over med-high heat (you may need to adjust the temperatures during the course of cooking.  You don't want it too hot or too cool.)   Spread a thin layer of batter onto a hot frying pan (you are set if you have a crepe maker!) and cook until lightly browned. (it will only be a few minutes)  Flip and cook the other side until set.  Serve with your favorite filling (you can't go wrong with strawberries and whipped topping).
